A look back and ahead…

Docstar was unchallenged on the lead en route to a three and one-quarter length victory in Saturday’s sixth race under jockey Clive Beech. The Charlton Baker trainee completed the one mile and seventy yard distance in a time of 1:44.04.

Jockey Santos Navarro-Leon earned his first Finger Lakes win aboard Geyser Road in the first race on Saturday. The veteran journeyman made his return to the saddle recently after not riding since 2004. Navarro-Leon has won 136 races in his career, including seven stakes at El Comandante in Puerto Rico in the 1990’s.

Longshot of the Week: You Us Air shook loose from the fifth race field on Tuesday to score a two and one-quarter length victory for trainer Bruce Anderson. The 4-year-old gelding was defeated by 23 and one-quarter lengths over a muddy surface in his prior start on October 12. He was able to make the front on Tuesday’s fast track under jockey Omar Camejo and cruised to the upset victory at odds of 18-1.
