VISION KIA EASTERN NATIONALS POSTPONED

2.02.2012 - Lack of Available Snow Pushes Event to Feruary 24 & 25

FARMINGTON, N.Y. – In a joint decision, Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack and ISOC (International Series of Champions), the governing body of AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series, together announce the postponement of the Vision Kia Eastern Nationals to Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25.

After ISOC personnel attempted to make the track out of what snow was available on Thursday night, all parties agreed that the track was not up to the standards necessary for creating a suitable show. Unseasonably warm temperatures this winter have limited snow making capability and building up nearly the supply of snow that has been made in previous years for the event. That combined with the mid-50’s temperatures earlier this week led to the current situation.

“We are disappointed that we need to postpone the event,” said Chris Riegle, president and general manager of Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack. “Mother Nature made it difficult to create enough snow to make an adequate track and we hope that she will be more cooperative in the near future. We look forward to hosting a great event in three weeks.”

Tickets previously purchased will be honored for the event on February 24 and 25. Tickets will remain on-sale at Extras Point Store at Finger Lakes Casino & Racetrack, and online at www.ExtremeTix.com.  Guests that cannot attend the re-scheduled dates may receive a full refund by returning to the venue in which their tickets were purchased.
