NEWS RELEASE
FARMINGTON, N.Y. – Upon receiving approval from the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack has announced a post time change for Saturday, October 27. First race post time has been moved to an earlier time of 11:45 a.m. that day, with racing gates opening at 10:30 a.m.
The post time adjustment replaces the previously announced 12:15 p.m. start for live racing. The move was made to better align the Finger Lakes live card with the second day of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. This year is the introduction of a two-day format for the event at Monmouth Park in New Jersey, which will begin on Friday, October 26.
There will be simulcast wagering on all Breeders’ Cup races with the first 1,000 racing fans (18 and over) through the gates on October 27 receiving t-shirts.
No other changes have been made to the Finger Lakes schedule. Live racing will continue five days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. With the exception of October 27, post time will remain at 1:10 p.m. until it moves to 12:15 p.m. starting November 5 and continuing until December 1. The gaming floor featuring nearly 1,200 video gaming machines is open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., daily.
