Don Fazio wins the January 19th Hit the Board Eliminator Challenge at Finger Lakes

Congratulations to Don Fazio for winning a very challenging Hit the Board Eliminator Challenge at Finger Lakes on Saturday, January 19, 2008!  As the first contest race concluded, the two most popular entries came in 4th and 5th causing 150 contestants to be eliminated!  The races were so unpredictable, that by the end of the 5th race there were only 9 survivors remaining, all of whom then missed the board entirely in the sixth race!   But they were saved by lucky number 7, that is, Official Rule #7 which states that if all remaining contestants are eliminated in a single race while additional contest races remain, those survivors will be allowed to remain in the contest until either a single winner is determined, or all contest races have been run.   In the end, Don Fazio survived the 9th race, won the tie-braker with four wins, and claimed the top prize of $800.  Congratulations once again to Don Fazio!  The next "Hit the Board Eliminator Challenge" will take place at Finger Lakes on Saturday, January 26th.  Entries are free and will be made available at the gift shop on the day of the contest.
