FARMINGTON, N.Y. – Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack cancelled the remainder of Tuesday’s live thoroughbred racing card after the running of the third race. The jockeys decision to cancel the rest of the day was made due to the unsafe racing surface created by heavy rain from an afternoon thunderstorm.
Gaming floor operations at Finger Lakes will continue as normal through 2 a.m., and simulcasting of various tracks throughout the country will continue as scheduled until 6 p.m.
After two scheduled dark days on Wednesday and Thursday, live racing will resume on Friday with a 12:35 p.m. post time. The 2008 racing season continues through December 6.
