Congratulations to William Park, the winner of the July 18, 2009 Finger Lakes $2,500 Live Racing Handicapping Challenge.  William selected the winners of 7 out of 9 contest races which vaulted him into a three way tie for first place with Pete Amorese and Robert Qualtrough, each contestant scoring 41 points in the contest.  The tie-breaker was settled by mutuel win comparison in which William Park  ($49.50) claimed two moderate long shots to claim the top prize of $1,000.  Pete Amorese ($39.40) took second place and will take home $600.  Robert Qualtrough ($35.50) took third place and a $400 cash prize.   Once again, congratulations to William Park! 

 

All contestants with a score of 35 points or higher have qualified for the handicapping finals, which will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2009.  Winner of these finals will receive a berth in the 2010 Horseplayer World Series in Las Vegas! 

 

Our next Handicapping Challenge will take place on Saturday, August 15.  Entry forms will be available at The Player Extras Station in the Upper Grandstand on the day of the contest.  Good luck to all our contestants!
