Pro’s Pal held off a late challenge by Mr. Windjammer to win Tuesday’s eighth race by three-quarters of a length under jockey Jeremias Flores. The Charlton Baker-trainee completed the five furlong distance in a time of :58.83. The two other nominees are Too Tough Pete and Lovely Daniella. The award winner will be announced at the Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association banquet on Tuesday, June 15.

Longshot of the Week: You’ll Remember Me rallied to take Tuesday’s seventh race by one length. The 21-1 outsider’s previous visit to the winners circle occurred on June 16, 2009. The 5-year-old mare trained by Jose Cabrera was ridden to victory by jockey Pedro Gonzalez. Gonzalez notched his first Finger Lakes win the previous day with Sinister Storm.
