Jockey Elaine Castillo earned an unprecedented career milestone on Sunday. She guided Too Tough Jake to a ten and three-quarter length victory in the seventh race and became the first female jockey to ever register 500 Finger Lakes wins. The 28-year-old from Mexico City, Mexico is currently fifth in the 2010 Finger Lakes jockey standings with 27 wins.

Jockey/Trainer News: Patrick Baratta notched his first career training victory on Monday. Devil by Sandy scored a three-quarter length triumph in the second race under Janice Blake-Baeza. Charlie Amaro will no longer receive a ten pound advantage for his future mounts. He is now a seven pound apprentice after winning the fifth race on Friday aboard Campana. Amaro was injured from a three horse spill that occurred during the running of Tuesday’s second race. He was taken to a local hospital after the conclusion of the race. Jose Gutierrez and Jose Baez were the other two riders involved in the incident. No other information is available concerning the three jockeys.
