Robert Jones Wins July 24, 2010 Finger Lakes $2,500 Handicapping Challenge!
Congratulations to Robert Jones, the winner of the July 24th, 2010 Finger lakes $2,500 Handicapping Challenge. Robert bested 375 contestants with a score of 38 points to claim the top prize of $1,000 in cash. Robert is already on his way to the 2011 Horse Player World Series by winning the Finger Lakes Simulcast Handicapping Finals in April! A 5 way tie for second place (37 points) was settled by a comparison of mutuel win totals, and was won outright by Bruce Terzo with a mutuel win total of $22.60. Bruce won $600 for his second place finish. The $400 third place prize was divided among the remaining four contestants with 37 points as they each had a mutuel win total of $16.60. Contestants with a score of 32 points or higher placed in the top 25 and have qualified for the handicapping finals in October (date to be announced). Invitations for the finals will be mailed in late September. Once again, Congratulations to Robert Jones!
